For example, while you're selling a house you could say, "It has three bedrooms and two baths. There's a large parking space good for two cars. The view from the backyard is great. You would have kids, grow old and be happy.
Go on and take out a loan for this house. It is situated in a gated community, with 24-hour security service."
By introducing a sentence that doesn't make sense momentarily confuses the mind, making it focus inward and go into a trance in order to make sense of it. While doing so, the buyer will unconsciously hear the suggestion that the seller gave.
This is a perfect example of sales techniques that you could learn from sales training. The suggestion made by the seller resolves the momentary confusion experienced by the buyer, so as a result, he is likely to follow the given suggestion.
Another sales technique commonly taught in sales training is the use of embedded commands. These are the commands that you create by using tone, speed, and pace in delivering a sentence.
When you talk at a normal tone, speed, and pace, you are merely delivering a message. It is merely descriptive and not convincing, so rather than selling you are just teaching your buyers about your product. Sales training would tell you to watch out for these statements.
A good example used in sales training is when selling a car, you would usually ask your buyer to test drive before buying. Rather than merely asking them to test drive, car salesmen use a certain pace and tone that could hypnotize the buyer.
You could say, "Cars like these are irresistible, many.take it for a spin.after a few laps they.have a wonderful time.by the time they get out of the car they have decided to.take it home."
As taught in good sales training courses, the pauses, represented by the three dots, are essential in order to emphasize the action or command that you embed in your statements. The mind bypasses the other words and focus on the ones that you emphasized.
It would be processed as "take it for a spin, have a wonderful time, take it home." Eventually, they do take it home because you have unconsciously told them to do so.
There are a lot of sales methods that involve hypnotic techniques. Through proper sales training, any salesmen can effectively use these techniques to sell their products.
